This Price Is Determined By An International Formula And Is Always Higher Than The Typically Brutally Low Prices Paid To Small Holders By The Local Market. In Additon To Adequate Wages, Farmers Get Access To Affordable Credit, Which Allows Them To Maintain A Higher Standard Of Living Than Their Uncertified Counterparts. The Fair Trade Program Works Hard To Create Direct Trade Links Between Farmers And Their Cooperatives And Roasters.
